Furthermore, the course focuses on prevention strategies and safe work practices that reduce the likelihood of fire or explosion events. Learners practice hands-on skills to build confidence in real workplace settings.

• Overview of IRP 18 and its role in fire and explosion hazard management
• Classifications of fire types and their characteristics
• Common causes of workplace fires and contributing factors
• Prevention methods to reduce fire and explosion risks
• Inspection, care, and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers
• Proper selection and use of portable extinguishers in different scenarios
• Practical outdoor extinguisher usage under instructor guidance
